Description

A quick and flavorful Instant Pot Beef and Broccoli recipe with a savory-sweet honey garlic sauce. Perfect for a weeknight dinner, this dish is both hearty and easy to prepare.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1.5 lbs flank steak, thinly sliced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 3 cups broccoli florets
  • 3/4 cup beef broth
  • 1/2 cup low sodium soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooked white rice, for serving (optional)

Instructions

  1. Set the Instant Pot to sauté mode and add olive oil.
  2. Season sliced beef with salt and pepper, then sear in batches until browned. Remove and set aside.
  3. Add garlic and ginger to the pot, sauté for 1 minute.
  4. Pour in beef broth, soy sauce, and honey. Stir well to combine.
  5. Return beef to the pot and secure the lid. Set to high pressure for 10 minutes.
  6. Once done, allow pressure to release naturally for 10 minutes, then quick release the rest.
  7. Mix cornstarch and water in a small bowl, then stir into the pot to thicken the sauce.
  8. Add broccoli florets, close lid, and let steam for 3-5 minutes using residual heat.
  9. Serve hot over cooked rice if desired.

Notes

  • For extra tender beef, slice against the grain.
  • Use frozen broccoli if fresh isn’t available—just add directly to the pot.
  • Add red pepper flakes for a spicy kick.
