- 1.5 lbs flank steak, thinly sliced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 3 cups broccoli florets
- 3/4 cup beef broth
- 1/2 cup low sodium soy sauce
- 1/4 cup honey
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons water
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Cooked white rice, for serving (optional)
Instructions
- Set the Instant Pot to sauté mode and add olive oil.
- Season sliced beef with salt and pepper, then sear in batches until browned. Remove and set aside.
- Add garlic and ginger to the pot, sauté for 1 minute.
- Pour in beef broth, soy sauce, and honey. Stir well to combine.
- Return beef to the pot and secure the lid. Set to high pressure for 10 minutes.
- Once done, allow pressure to release naturally for 10 minutes, then quick release the rest.
- Mix cornstarch and water in a small bowl, then stir into the pot to thicken the sauce.
- Add broccoli florets, close lid, and let steam for 3-5 minutes using residual heat.
- Serve hot over cooked rice if desired.
Notes
- For extra tender beef, slice against the grain.
- Use frozen broccoli if fresh isn’t available—just add directly to the pot.
- Add red pepper flakes for a spicy kick.
