1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
2 tablespoons olive oil
For the hot honey glaze:
1/4cup hot honey (store-bought or homemade)
1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
Chopped parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
Preheat the oven: Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and lightly grease a baking dish.
Season the chicken: Pat the chicken breasts dry, then season both sides with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika.
Prepare the hot honey glaze: In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, hot honey, apple cider vinegar, and red pepper flakes if using.
Coat the chicken: Place the seasoned chicken breasts in the baking dish and brush generously with the hot honey mixture, reserving some for later.
Bake: Bake for 18–22 minutes until the chicken reaches 165°F (74°C) internal temperature. Brush with reserved hot honey mixture during the last 5 minutes of baking.
Rest and serve: Remove from oven, let rest for 5 minutes, garnish with parsley if desired, and serve.
Notes
For more flavor, marinate chicken in hot honey mixture for 1–2 hours before baking.
This dish pairs well with roasted vegetables, mashed potatoes, or a fresh green salad.
