Chicken Thighs:
2pounds boneless, skinless chicken thighs
Sauce:
1/2cup honey
1/2cup low-sodium soy sauce
1/4cup ketchup
2 tablespoons olive oil
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon dried basil
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
Thickening (optional):
1 tablespoon cornstarch + 2 tablespoons water
Garnish (optional):
Chopped green onions and sesame seeds
Instructions
Place the chicken thighs: Arrange the chicken thighs in the slow cooker.
Mix the sauce: In a bowl, combine honey, soy sauce, ketchup, olive oil, garlic, basil, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Pour over the chicken.
Cook: Cover and cook on low for 6–7 hours or on high for 3–4 hours until chicken is cooked through.
Thicken (optional): If desired, mix cornstarch with water, stir into the sauce, and cook uncovered to thicken.
Garnish and serve: Sprinkle with green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
