Ingredients

Units Scale

Salmon Marinade:

  • 1 pound skinless salmon fillets, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh grated ginger (optional)

Cornstarch Slurry:

  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons water

Other:

  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • Sliced green onions and sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

  1. Marinate the Salmon: In a medium bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, and ginger. Add salmon cubes, coat gently, and marinate for 15–20 minutes.
  2. Prepare the Cornstarch Slurry: In a small bowl, mix cornstarch and water to create a slurry; set aside.
  3. Cook the Salmon: Heat sesame oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium heat. Remove salmon from marinade, reserving it. Sear salmon bites for 2–3 minutes per side until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
  4. Make the Sauce: Pour reserved marinade into the pan, bring to a simmer. Stir in cornstarch slurry and cook until sauce thickens, 1–2 minutes.
  5. Finish and Serve: Return salmon to the pan, toss gently to coat with sauce. Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds. Serve hot.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the marinade.
  • Serve with rice, noodles, or steamed vegetables for a full meal.
