For the Pecanbread:
1cup granulated sugar
1/2cup light brown sugar (packed)
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2cup honey butter (or substitute 1/2 cup softened butter plus 2 tablespoons honey)
1cup all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1cup chopped pecans
Instructions
Preheat the Oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×9-inch baking dish or line with parchment paper.
Mix Wet Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, beat together the granulated sugar, brown sugar, eggs, vanilla, and honey butter until smooth and creamy.
Combine Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, salt, and baking powder. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and stir just until combined.
Add Pecans: Fold in the chopped pecans. Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and spread evenly.
Bake: Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until the top is golden and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out mostly clean with moist crumbs.
Cool and Serve: Cool completely before slicing into squares.
Notes
For extra flavor, toast the pecans before adding.
These bars can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 4 days.
