For the Peanut Butter Frosting:
1/2cup unsalted butter, softened
1cup creamy peanut butter
2cups powdered sugar
1/4cup heavy cream (plus more as needed)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
pinch of salt
Instructions
In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter and peanut butter together until smooth and creamy. Gradually add the powdered sugar, beating on low speed until fully incorporated.
Add the heavy cream, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt, then increase the mixer speed to medium-high and beat until the frosting is light and fluffy.
If the frosting is too thick, add more cream 1 tablespoon at a time until desired consistency is reached.
Notes
This frosting pairs perfectly with chocolate cake, brownies, or banana cupcakes.
For a richer flavor, use natural peanut butter, but stir it well before using.
