Dough:
1cup self-rising flour
1cup plain Greek yogurt (full-fat or low-fat)
1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup
Additional:
1 large egg (for egg wash)
sesame seeds or everything bagel seasoning (optional)
Instructions
Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Mix the dough: In a large bowl, combine the self-rising flour, Greek yogurt, and honey until a soft dough forms. Add more flour if too sticky.
Shape the bagels: Divide the dough into 4 portions, roll each into a ball, then form a hole in the center to create a bagel shape. Place on the baking sheet.
Egg wash and seasoning: Brush the tops with beaten egg and sprinkle with sesame seeds or everything bagel seasoning, if desired.
Bake: Bake for 20–25 minutes until golden brown. Cool before slicing and serving.
Notes
Use plain Greek yogurt without added flavors or sweeteners.
For lower carb, substitute some flour with almond flour for a denser texture.
Best enjoyed fresh or store in an airtight container for 2 days or freeze.
