  • 1 1/2 cups heavy whipping cream
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven and prepare pans: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
  2. Mix dry ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Prepare batter: In a large mixing bowl, beat sugar and butter, add eggs and vanilla. Stir in bananas and sour cream, then fold in dry ingredients and walnuts.
  4. Bake: Divide batter between pans, bake for 25–30 minutes. Cool cakes on wire racks.
