For the sauce:
1/2cup low-sodium beef broth
1/4cup low-sodium soy sauce
2 tablespoons oyster sauce
1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 teaspoon sesame oil
1 tablespoon cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons water
For the stir fry:
1pound lean ground beef
4cups broccoli florets (fresh or frozen)
3 cloves garlic, minced
2 tablespoons vegetable oil (divided)
cooked rice for serving
sesame seeds and chopped green onions for garnish (optional)
Instructions
Prepare the sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together the beef broth, soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, and cornstarch slurry. Set aside.
Cook the beef: Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned and fully cooked. Drain excess fat if needed and remove beef from the skillet.
