Instructions
Preheat the oven: to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake pan with paper liners.
Prepare the cupcakes: Mix the cake mix, eggs, oil, water, vanilla extract, and tonic water. Divide the batter and bake for 18–20 minutes.
Make the frosting: Beat butter and sugar, then add tonic water, lemon juice, and food coloring if desired. Frost the cooled cupcakes.

Notes
The glow effect is due to quinine in tonic water and is enhanced under UV light.
