Ingredients

Mashed Potatoes:

  • 2 cups mashed potatoes (cooled)

Seasonings:

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp dried parsley

Breading:

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs

Others:

  • Vegetable oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Potato Mixture: In a large bowl, mix mashed potatoes, garlic, mozzarella, Parmesan, salt, pepper, and parsley until well combined.
  2. Shape the Balls: Form the mixture into 1 1/2-inch balls.
  3. Coat the Balls: Roll each ball in flour, dip in beaten eggs, then coat with breadcrumbs.
  4. Fry the Potato Balls: Heat oil in a deep skillet to 350°F. Fry potato balls in batches for 2–3 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
  5. Serve: Remove from oil, drain on paper towels, and serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

  • For a cheesy surprise, add a small cube of mozzarella inside each potato ball before breading.
  • You can bake the potato balls at 400°F for 15–18 minutes for a lighter version.
