Description

A delicious and easy-to-make meal featuring tender garlic butter steak bites paired with creamy Parmesan pasta, perfect for a comforting dinner ready in just 35 minutes.

Ingredients

Scale

Steak Bites

  • 1 lb (450 g) sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized cubes
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika (optional)

Parmesan Pasta

  • 8 oz (225 g) fettuccine or spaghetti
  • 1 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg (optional)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook the Pasta: Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water, then drain and set aside.
  2. Prepare the Steak Bites: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Sear the Steak: Sear steak cubes for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  4. Make the Garlic Butter: Stir in minced garlic into the same skillet and sauté for 1 minute. Return steak to the skillet, toss in garlic butter, then remove from heat.
  5. Make the Parmesan Sauce: In the skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute. Stir in heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Gradually whisk in Parmesan cheese until smooth. Season with nutmeg, salt, and pepper to taste.
  6. Combine: Stir in reserved pasta water gradually if needed to loosen the sauce and achieve desired consistency.
  7. Serve: Garnish with fresh chopped parsley and serve immediately alongside the steak bites.

Notes

  • Use sirloin steak for tender and flavorful bites.
  • Smoked paprika adds a subtle smoky flavor but can be omitted if unavailable.
  • Adjust pasta water quantity in sauce to reach preferred creaminess.
  • Freshly grated Parmesan melts better than pre-grated for a smoother sauce.
  • Serve immediately for best texture and taste.
