Ingredients
- 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 cups broccoli florets
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter
- 5 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- 1 tsp lemon zest
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add the broccoli florets and cook for 3-4 minutes until tender-crisp. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Add shrimp to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes per side until they turn pink and opaque.
- Return the broccoli to the skillet and stir to combine with the shrimp and garlic butter sauce.
- Add lemon juice, lemon zest, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper to taste. Stir everything together.
- Sprinkle with chopped parsley and grated Parmesan cheese (if using) before serving.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, add more butter to the pan.
- You can substitute the broccoli with other vegetables like asparagus or zucchini.
- If you prefer a bit of heat, adjust the red pepper flakes according to your taste.
- This recipe can easily be doubled for larger servings.
