  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup additional chocolate chips or chunks

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Melt the butter and chocolate: Melt the butter and 1 cup of chocolate chips in a small saucepan or microwave-safe bowl until smooth. Let it cool slightly.
  3. Prepare the batter: In a large bowl, whisk together granulated sugar, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract. Mix in the melted chocolate. In a separate bowl, whisk flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Combine wet and dry ingredients, then fold in additional chocolate chips.
