1/2cup unsalted butter
1cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
3/4cup granulated sugar
1/4cup brown sugar
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2/3cup all-purpose flour
1/4cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2cup additional chocolate chips or chunks
Instructions
Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Melt the butter and chocolate: Melt the butter and 1 cup of chocolate chips in a small saucepan or microwave-safe bowl until smooth. Let it cool slightly.
Prepare the batter: In a large bowl, whisk together granulated sugar, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract. Mix in the melted chocolate. In a separate bowl, whisk flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Combine wet and dry ingredients, then fold in additional chocolate chips.
Bake the cookies: Drop spoonfuls of dough onto the baking sheet and bake for 10–12 minutes. Let cool before serving.
Notes
