  • 1 tablespoon instant coffee granules dissolved in 1 tablespoon hot water
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder

Frosting:

  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 tablespoon brewed coffee (cooled)
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F and prepare an 8×8-inch baking pan.
  2. Mix Brownie Batter: Combine melted butter and sugar, add eggs, vanilla, dissolved coffee, cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder. Mix until just combined.
  3. Bake: Pour batter into pan and bake for 20–25 minutes until a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs. Cool.
