Pumpkin Puree:
1 small baking pumpkin

Prep the Pumpkin: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Cut the pumpkin in half and scoop out the seeds and stringy pulp.
Bake the Pumpkin: Place the pumpkin halves cut side down on a baking sheet. Add water to the pan to prevent the pumpkin from drying out. Bake for about 45-60 minutes, or until the flesh is soft.
Remove and Puree: Let the pumpkin cool, then scoop out the flesh and transfer it to a food processor. Blend until smooth.
Store or Use: Use the puree immediately in your favorite recipes, or store it in the refrigerator for up to a week, or freeze for longer storage.
Notes
You can also steam the pumpkin instead of baking it if preferred.
Be sure to use a baking pumpkin or sugar pumpkin for the best flavor and texture.
