  • 2 cups powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9×13-inch baking dish with parchment paper.
  2. Mix Dry Ingredients: Whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt in a medium bowl.
  3. Cream Butter and Sugar: In a large bowl, cream together the butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add Wet Ingredients: Mix in the egg, sour cream, vanilla extract, and almond extract (if using).
  5. Combine and Bake: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mix until combined, press dough into pan, and bake for 18–22 minutes until golden.
  6. Make Frosting: Beat softened butter, add powdered sugar, cream/milk, vanilla, salt, and food coloring if desired, beat until fluffy.
