- 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
- 1 (0.7 oz) packet dry Italian salad dressing mix
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1 (10.5 oz) can cream of chicken soup
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1 (4 oz) can sliced mushrooms, drained (optional)
- 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
- 12 oz angel hair pasta, cooked
Instructions
- Place chicken breasts in the bottom of the crock pot.
- In a medium saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in Italian dressing mix, cream of chicken soup, chicken broth, and cream cheese until smooth and well combined.
- Add mushrooms if using, and stir to combine.
- Pour the sauce over the chicken in the crock pot.
- Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours or on high for 2-3 hours, until chicken is fully cooked and tender.
- Shred the chicken in the crock pot and stir to coat with the sauce.
- Serve hot over cooked angel hair pasta.
Notes
- You can use chicken thighs instead of breasts for a juicier option.
- Add a splash of white wine to the sauce for extra depth of flavor.
