  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Additional:

  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • Extra chocolate chips for topping (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat the oven to 375°F and prepare a muffin tin with liners or grease.
  2. Mix Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine flour, granulated sugar, brown sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Combine Wet Ingredients: In another bowl, mix milk, oil, eggs, and vanilla extract.
  4. Combine Mixtures: Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and gently stir until just combined.
  5. Add Chocolate Chips: Fold in the chocolate chips, being careful not to overmix.
  6. Bake: Divide the batter into muffin cups, top with extra chocolate chips if desired, and bake for 18–22 minutes.
  7. Cool and Serve: Let the muffins cool in the pan for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

  • For bakery-style muffins, start baking at 425°F for 5 minutes, then reduce to 350°F.
  • You can customize by using mini chocolate chips or a mix of dark and milk chocolate.
