2 1/4 teaspoons (1 packet) active dry yeast
1cup warm milk
1/2cup granulated sugar
1/3cup unsalted butter, melted
1 teaspoon salt
2 large eggs
4cups all-purpose flour
For the Filling:
1cup brown sugar, packed
2 1/2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
1/3cup unsalted butter, softened
For the Caramel Glaze:
1/2cup unsalted butter
1cup packed brown sugar
1/4cup heavy cream
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Pinch of salt
Instructions
Activate the Yeast: In a large bowl, dissolve yeast in warm milk and let it sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
Mix Dough: Add sugar, butter, salt, eggs, and flour to the yeast mixture. Mix until a soft dough forms.
Knead: Knead the dough on a floured surface until smooth and elastic, then let it rise until doubled in size.
Roll Out: Roll the dough into a rectangle, spread softened butter over it, then sprinkle with cinnamon sugar.
Roll Up: Roll the dough tightly, then cut into rolls and place in a greased baking dish.
Rise and Bake: Let the rolls rise again, then bake until golden brown.
Make Caramel Glaze: In a saucepan, melt butter, add brown sugar, cream, vanilla, and salt. Cook until thickened.
Glaze: Pour the warm caramel glaze over the baked cinnamon rolls.
