- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup coconut sugar or brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup einkorn flour
- 1/4 tsp sea salt
- 1/4 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips
- 1/4 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8-inch baking dish with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
- Melt the butter in a saucepan over low heat, then remove from heat and stir in the sugar, eggs, and vanilla until well combined.
- Add the cocoa powder, einkorn flour, salt, and baking powder to the mixture. Stir until smooth.
- Fold in the chocolate chips and walnuts, if using.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
- Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Let cool completely in the pan before cutting into squares and serving.
