Ingredients

Units Scale

For the Garlic Butter Beef:

  • 1 lb beef sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste

For the Rice:

  • 1 cup long-grain white rice
  • 2 cups beef broth

For the Cheddar Parmesan Sauce:

  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Garlic Butter Beef: In a skillet, melt butter over medium-high heat. Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant. Season beef slices with salt and pepper, then add to the skillet. Cook until browned. Remove beef from skillet and set aside.
  2. Cook the Rice: In the same skillet, add rice and beef broth. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 15-20 minutes, or until rice is cooked.
  3. Make the Cheddar Parmesan Sauce: In a separate saucepan, melt butter. Whisk in flour until smooth. Gradually whisk in milk and bring to a simmer. Stir in cheddar and Parmesan cheeses until melted and smooth. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Combine Everything: Add the cooked beef back to the skillet with the rice. Pour the cheddar Parmesan sauce over the beef and rice. Stir to combine and heat through.
  5. Serve: Garnish with fresh parsley, if desired, and enjoy!
