Angel Beef Casserole:
12oz angel hair pasta
1lb ground beef
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 small onion, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Cream Cheese Mixture:
8oz cream cheese, softened
1/2cup sour cream
1/2cup shredded Parmesan cheese
Additional:
2cups shredded mozzarella cheese
Chopped parsley for garnish
Instructions
Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
Cook Pasta: Cook the angel hair pasta according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
Cook Beef: In a skillet, heat olive oil, cook ground beef until browned. Add onion, garlic, tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes.
Prepare Cream Cheese Mixture: In a bowl, combine cream cheese, sour cream, and Parmesan cheese until smooth.
Assemble Casserole: Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish. Layer pasta, cream cheese mixture, beef sauce. Repeat layers. Top with mozzarella.
Bake: Cover with foil, bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil, bake an additional 10–15 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
Serve: Garnish with parsley before serving.
Notes
This casserole can be assembled ahead of time and refrigerated for up to 24 hours before baking.
For a spicier version, add red pepper flakes to the beef sauce.
