Instructions
Preheat Oven: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 9×5-inch loaf pan with parchment paper.
Mix Dry Ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
Prepare Wet Ingredients: In a large bowl, cream butter and brown sugar, then mix in eggs, vanilla extract, orange zest, and orange juice.
Combine and Bake: Gradually add dry ingredients to wet mixture, fold in dates and toasted almonds, pour batter into pan, top with sliced almonds, and bake for 50–55 minutes.
Cool and Serve: Let the loaf cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
