These Cuban Sliders are a delicious twist on the classic Cuban sandwich, perfect for parties or a fun dinner option. Layers of ham, roast pork, Swiss cheese, and pickles are sandwiched between sweet slider buns, then baked with a flavorful buttery glaze until melty and golden.

Ingredients

Slider Buns:

12 slider buns or Hawaiian rolls

Filling:

12 slices deli ham, 12 slices roast pork or pulled pork, 12 slices Swiss cheese, 12 dill pickle chips

Mustard-Mayonnaise Spread:

2 tablespoons yellow mustard, 2 tablespoons mayonnaise

Buttery Glaze:

4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted, 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard, 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder, 1 teaspoon poppy seeds

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare Buns: Slice slider buns in half horizontally and place the bottom halves in a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
  3. Make Spread: Mix yellow mustard and mayonnaise, then spread on the bottom buns.
  4. Layer Ingredients: Layer with ham, pork, Swiss cheese, and pickles. Place the top halves of the buns over the fillings.
  5. Prepare Glaze: Combine melted butter, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, and poppy seeds. Brush the mixture evenly over the tops of the buns.
  6. Bake: Cover with foil and bake for 15 minutes, then uncover and bake an additional 5–7 minutes until tops are golden and cheese is melted.
  7. Serve: Serve warm.

Notes

  • You can use pulled pork leftovers or substitute with sliced pork tenderloin.
  • For a spicier version, add a few jalapeño slices.
