  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar

  • nonstick cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Slow Cooker: Spray the inside of a 6-quart slow cooker with nonstick cooking spray or line it with parchment paper.
  2. Prep the Dough: Cut each cinnamon roll into quarters. In a bag, combine granulated sugar and cinnamon. Coat the dough in this mixture by shaking in the bag.
  3. Layer in the Slow Cooker: Layer half of the coated dough in the slow cooker. Drizzle with half of the butter and brown sugar mixture. Repeat with the remaining dough and butter mixture.
  4. Cook: Cover and cook on low for 2 to 2.5 hours until golden.
  5. Rest and Serve: Let it sit uncovered for 10 minutes. Drizzle the reserved icing over the warm monkey bread before serving.

  • For extra flavor, consider adding chopped pecans or walnuts between the layers.
  • Serve warm for the best texture.
