  • 1 small onion, finely diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp mustard powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika

Instructions

  1. Brown the Beef: In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef with diced onion and garlic until fully cooked. Drain excess fat.
  2. Transfer to Crockpot: Transfer the beef mixture to the crockpot. Stir in Worcestershire sauce, mustard powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. Cook: Cover and cook on low for 2–3 hours to allow flavors to meld.
  4. Add Cheese: Just before serving, lay slices of cheddar cheese over the beef mixture and cover until melted.
  5. Serve: Serve the cheesy beef on toasted hamburger buns with your favorite toppings.

Notes

  • For a creamier texture, stir in ¼ cup cream cheese or a splash of heavy cream before adding the cheddar slices.
  • Use ground turkey or chicken for a lighter version.
