For the beef:
1 1/2pounds flank steak, thinly sliced
1/2cup low-sodium soy sauce
1/3cup brown sugar
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon sesame oil
1 tablespoon cornstarch
For the broccoli:
4cups broccoli florets
1/2cup beef broth
2 tablespoons oyster sauce
2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
2 teaspoons cornstarch
Sesame seeds and sliced green onions for garnish
Instructions
Marinate the beef: In a bowl, mix soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, sesame oil, and cornstarch. Add sliced beef, coat well, cover, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
Cook the beef: Place marinated beef in the crockpot. Cook on low for 2-3 hours until tender.
Add broccoli: In a small bowl, whisk beef broth, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, and cornstarch. Pour over beef, add broccoli, cover, and cook for an additional 30 minutes.
