Description

Enjoy a comforting and easy-to-make Crock Pot Cheesy Ravioli recipe that layers frozen ravioli with a flavorful tomato sauce and a blend of mozzarella and parmesan cheeses. Perfect for a hands-off meal ready in just a few hours.

Ingredients

Scale

Sauce Mixture

  • 1 large jar (48 ounces) pasta sauce of your choice (we like Ragu’s traditional sauce)
  • 1 can (14.5 ounces) diced tomatoes, drained
  • 2 teaspoons minced garlic

Main Ingredients

  • 1 bag (25 ounces) frozen ravioli
  • 2 cups shredded Mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup shredded Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Crock Pot: Spray the insert of a large crock pot (at least 7 quarts) with non-stick cooking spray to prevent sticking and make cleanup easier.
  2. Mix Sauce Ingredients: In a separate bowl, combine the pasta sauce, drained diced tomatoes, and minced garlic. Stir well until all ingredients are integrated.
  3. Layer Ingredients: Spoon one-third of the sauce mixture into the bottom of the crock pot. Top this with one-third of the frozen ravioli. Sprinkle one-third of both the shredded mozzarella and parmesan cheeses evenly over the ravioli.
  4. Repeat Layers: Repeat the layering process two more times – sauce, ravioli, and cheese – to form three layers, finishing with cheese on top.
  5. Cook: Cover the crock pot with its lid and cook on low heat for 3 to 4 hours, or until the dish is thoroughly heated and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  6. Serve: Once cooked, serve the cheesy ravioli warm and enjoy your hearty, flavorful meal.

Notes

  • You can substitute frozen ravioli with your preferred filling such as cheese, spinach, or meat ravioli to customize the dish.
  • Feel free to add Italian seasoning or fresh basil for extra flavor in the sauce mixture.
  • Cooking times may vary depending on your crock pot model, so check at 3 hours and adjust if needed.
  • Use low-fat cheese options to reduce calories and fat content.
  • Make sure ravioli is fully thawed before layering if you want a shorter cook time (not necessary but can speed it up).
