  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • Vegetable oil for frying

Spicy Sauce:

  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha or hot sauce
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon lime juice

Instructions

  1. In a shallow bowl, whisk together cornstarch, flour, salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and cayenne. Dredge salmon cubes in this mixture.
  2. In another bowl, combine the beaten egg and milk. Dip each salmon cube into the egg mixture.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet to 350°F (175°C). Fry salmon bites in batches until golden and crispy.
  4. Mix together mayonnaise, sriracha, honey, and lime juice in a small bowl. Serve the crispy salmon bites hot with the spicy sauce for dipping.

Notes

  • For a lighter version, air fry the coated salmon at 400°F (200°C) for 8–10 minutes, flipping halfway.
  • Serve as an appetizer, in tacos, or over rice bowls with fresh veggies.
