Potatoes:

  • 4 large russet potatoes, cut into thin fries

Seasoning:

  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons Cajun seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)

Garnish:

  • Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Prepare the potatoes: Soak the cut potatoes in cold water for 30 minutes, drain, and pat dry.
  3. Season the fries: In a bowl, toss potatoes with olive oil, Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, paprika, salt, pepper, and cayenne.
  4. Bake: Spread the fries on the baking sheet and bake for 35-40 minutes, flipping halfway, until crispy.

Notes

  • For extra crispiness, sprinkle cornstarch over dried potatoes before seasoning.
  • Can also be made in an air fryer at 400°F (200°C) for 18-20 minutes, shaking halfway through.
