  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric

  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • Vegetable oil for shallow frying

For the butter sauce:

  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup tomato purée
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Marinate the Chicken: In a bowl, combine yogurt, lemon juice, ginger, garlic, cumin, coriander, paprika, turmeric, salt, and cayenne. Add chicken pieces, mix well, and marinate for at least 1 hour.
  2. Coat and Fry: Coat marinated chicken in a mixture of cornstarch and flour. Fry in oil until golden and crispy.
  3. Prepare the Sauce: Sauté onion in butter, add garlic and spices. Stir in tomato purée, simmer, then add cream.
