Ingredients

Units Scale

Bowtie Pasta:

  • 12 ounces bowtie (farfalle) pasta

Beef Mixture:

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 small onion (diced)
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Sauce:

  • 1 (14.5-ounce) can diced tomatoes (drained)
  • 1 (8-ounce) can tomato sauce
  • 3/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Chopped fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook the Pasta: Cook the bowtie pasta according to package directions until al dente; drain and set aside.
  2. Sauté Beef Mixture: In a large skillet over medium heat, heat olive oil and add ground beef and onion. Cook until the beef is browned and the onion is tender, about 5–7 minutes.
  3. Add Seasonings: Add garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper, and cook for 1 minute more.
  4. Make the Sauce: Stir in diced tomatoes and tomato sauce and bring to a simmer. Reduce heat to low and stir in heavy cream and Parmesan cheese until well combined.
  5. Combine: Add the cooked pasta and mozzarella cheese, stirring until the cheese is melted and the pasta is coated in the sauce. Simmer for 2–3 minutes to heat through.
  6. Serve: Garnish with chopped parsley if desired and serve warm.

Notes

  • Add spinach or mushrooms for extra veggies.
  • Substitute ground turkey for a lighter version.
  • Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days and reheated gently.
