1/2cup unsalted butter, softened
8oz cream cheese, softened
1 1/4cups granulated sugar
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2cup whole milk
Instructions
Preheat the Oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch round or square cake pan.
Mix Dry Ingredients: Whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.
Cream Butter and Cream Cheese: In a large mixing bowl, beat the butter and cream cheese until smooth and creamy.
Add Sugar and Eggs: Add the sugar and beat until light and fluffy. Then, add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
Blend in Vanilla and Flour Mixture: Stir in the vanilla extract. Gradually add the flour mixture in batches, alternating with the milk, beginning and ending with the flour mixture. Mix just until combined.
Bake: Pour the batter into the prepared pan, smooth the top, and bake for 35–40 minutes until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Cool and Serve: Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
