  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

Casserole Layers:

  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 can (15 oz) whole kernel corn, drained
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese, divided
  • 1 bag (30 oz) frozen tater tots
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Chopped parsley or green onions for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Cook Beef: In a skillet, cook ground beef and onion until beef is no longer pink. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute. Drain excess grease.
  3. Combine Ingredients: Stir in soup, sour cream, milk, corn, and 1 cup of cheese. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Layer Casserole: Spread beef mixture in the baking dish, top with tater tots in a single layer.
  5. Bake: Bake for 35–40 minutes until tater tots are crispy. Sprinkle with remaining cheese and bake for 5 more minutes.
  6. Serve: Let sit for 5 minutes before serving. Garnish with parsley or green onions if desired.
