  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup milk

For the glaze (optional):

  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 12 teaspoons milk
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven: Preheat oven to 350°F and line a muffin tin with paper liners.
  2. Prepare streusel: Mix flour, brown sugar, and cinnamon for the streusel. Cut in cold butter until crumbly.
  3. Make batter: Cream butter and sugars, add eggs, sour cream, and vanilla. Combine dry ingredients, then mix with wet ingredients and milk.
  4. Assemble: Fill muffin cups, layer with streusel, and top with remaining batter and streusel.
  5. Bake: Bake for 18–22 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
