  • 2 pounds ground beef (80/20 blend)
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 large eggs
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme

For the topping:

  • 1/3 cup ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and prepare a baking sheet or loaf pan.
  2. Mix the meatloaf: In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, onion, garlic, eggs, milk, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, and thyme. Mix gently.
  3. Shape and top: Form the mixture into a loaf shape on the baking sheet or in a loaf pan. Combine ketchup, brown sugar, and mustard for the topping and spread over the meatloaf.
