1/2cup milk
1 tsp soy sauce
1/4 tsp black pepper
4cups cooked cut green beans (or 2 cans, drained)
1 1/3cups French fried onions
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a mixing bowl, stir together the cream of mushroom soup, milk, soy sauce, and black pepper until well combined.
Add the green beans and 2/3 cup of the French fried onions to the mixture. Stir gently to coat.
Transfer the mixture into a 1 1/2-quart baking dish and spread evenly.
Bake for 25 minutes or until hot and bubbling.
Stir the casserole and top with the remaining French fried onions.
Bake for an additional 5 minutes or until the onions are golden brown.
Notes
You can use fresh or frozen green beans instead of canned for a fresher taste.
Make ahead and refrigerate until ready to bake, adding fried onions just before baking.
Try adding shredded cheese or sautéed mushrooms for variation.
