1/2 teaspoon baking soda

1cup sour cream
1/2cup unsalted butter, softened

Streusel:
1/2cup light brown sugar
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1/3cup all-purpose flour
1/4cup cold unsalted butter, cut into small pieces
Instructions
Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×9-inch or 8×8-inch baking pan.
Prepare streusel: In a small bowl, mix brown sugar, cinnamon, and flour. Cut in cold butter until crumbly. Set aside.
Make the batter: Cream butter and sugar, beat in eggs and vanilla. In another bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Combine dry and wet ingredients alternately with sour cream.
Layer and bake: Spread half of the batter in the pan, sprinkle half of streusel. Add remaining batter and top with remaining streusel. Bake for 35–40 minutes.
