Cinnamon Buttercream Frosting

A sweet and creamy cinnamon-flavored buttercream frosting, perfect for cupcakes, cakes, or cookies.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
  • 4 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 24 tbsp heavy cream or milk
  • 1/4 tsp salt (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter until light and fluffy.
  2. Add the powdered sugar gradually, one cup at a time, beating well after each addition.
  3. Mix in the ground cinnamon and vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. Add 2 tablespoons of cream or milk and continue to beat until smooth and fluffy. Add more cream if needed for desired consistency.
  5. If using, add salt to balance the sweetness and mix well.
  6. Use immediately or store in an airtight container in the refrigerator. Rewhip before using if chilled.

Notes

  • Adjust cinnamon to taste for a stronger or milder flavor.
  • For a smoother texture, sift powdered sugar before adding.
  • Can be tinted with food coloring if desired.
