  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • vegetable oil for frying

Cinnamon Sugar Coating:

  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon

Optional Dipping Sauce:

  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Dough: In a medium saucepan, combine water, butter, sugar, and salt. Cook until it boils, then add flour and mix until dough forms.
  2. Add Eggs and Flavor: Beat in eggs one at a time, then add vanilla extract.
  3. Fry the Churros: Pipe dough into hot oil, fry until golden, then coat in cinnamon sugar.
  4. Make Optional Sauce: Heat cream, pour over chocolate chips, stir until smooth.
