Dry Ingredients:
1 3/4cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
Wet Ingredients:
1/2cup unsalted butter, softened
1/2cup granulated sugar
1/4cup brown sugar, packed
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2cup sour cream or Greek yogurt
3 ripe bananas, mashed
Additional:
1/2cup semi-sweet chocolate chips, melted
Instructions
Preheat oven and prepare pan: Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
Mix dry ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
Cream butter and sugars: In a large bowl, cream together butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
Add wet ingredients: Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla, mashed bananas, and sour cream until well combined.
Combine batter: Gradually mix in the dry ingredients until just combined.
Create chocolate batter: Transfer half the batter to a separate bowl and mix in the melted chocolate until fully incorporated.
Marble the batters: Alternately spoon the plain and chocolate batters into the prepared loaf pan. Swirl together with a butter knife for a marbled effect.
Bake: Bake for 55–65 minutes until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Cool and serve: Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
