For the cookie dough filling:

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour (heat-treated)
  • 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips

For the frosting:

  • 3/4 cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 23 tablespoons heavy cream
  • pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. For the cupcakes: Preheat oven and prepare cupcake liners. Mix dry ingredients. Cream butter and sugar, add eggs and vanilla. Alternate adding dry ingredients and milk. Fold in mini chocolate chips. Bake and cool.
  2. For the cookie dough filling: Prepare filling, chill, and stuff into cooled cupcakes.
  3. For the frosting: Make frosting, pipe or spread onto cupcakes, and garnish as desired.
