Cherry Chocolate Dump Cake:
1 (21-ounce) can cherry pie filling
1 (15.25-ounce) box chocolate cake mix
1/2cup unsalted butter, melted
1 teaspoon almond extract (optional)
1cup semi-sweet chocolate chips (optional)
Instructions
Preheat and Prepare: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
Layer: Spread cherry pie filling in the baking dish. Add almond extract if using. Sprinkle chocolate cake mix evenly. Pour melted butter over the cake mix, covering most of it. Optionally, sprinkle chocolate chips.
Bake: Bake for 35–40 minutes until the top is set and slightly crispy.
Cool and Serve: Let it cool for 10–15 minutes before serving. Enjoy warm, plain or with ice cream or whipped cream.
Notes
For a richer taste, consider adding a second can of cherry pie filling or fresh chopped cherries.
Variation: Use white or dark chocolate chips for a different flavor profile.
