  • 4 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

For the Filling:

  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

For the Ganache Topping:

  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 10×15-inch jelly roll pan with parchment paper.
  2. Prepare the cake: Beat eggs and sugar until fluffy, add oil and vanilla. Mix dry ingredients separately, then fold into the egg mixture. Bake for 10–12 minutes, and roll the cake in a towel to cool.
  3. Make the filling: Whip cream, sugar, and vanilla until stiff peaks form. Unroll the cake, spread the whipped cream, and roll it back up.
  4. Prepare the ganache: Heat cream, pour over chocolate chips, and stir until smooth. Pour over the rolled cake. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving.

Notes

  • You can add a thin layer of strawberry or raspberry jam before the whipped cream for a fruity twist.
