This Chicken Cordon Bleu Casserole combines all the classic flavors of the traditional dish—chicken, ham, and Swiss cheese—in a creamy, baked casserole that’s easy to prepare and perfect for weeknight dinners.

  • 3 cups cooked chicken, shredded
  • 1 1/2 cups diced cooked ham
  • 2 cups shredded Swiss cheese
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 tbsp melted butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine cream of chicken soup, sour cream, milk, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  3. Fold in the cooked chicken, ham, and 1 1/2 cups of Swiss cheese.
  4. Pour the mixture into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish and spread evenly.
  5. Sprinkle the remaining 1/2 cup of Swiss cheese over the top.
  6. In a small bowl, mix breadcrumbs with melted butter and sprinkle over the casserole.
  7. Bake for 30–35 minutes or until bubbly and the top is golden brown.
  8. Let rest for 5–10 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Use rotisserie chicken to save time.
  • Panko breadcrumbs give a crispier topping.
  • Substitute Swiss cheese with Gruyère for a richer flavor.
