Chicken:

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cups cooked chicken (shredded or cubed)

Sauce:

  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 1/2 cups whole milk
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 1/4 cups grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Topping:

  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Chopped parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven: Preheat oven to 375°F.
  2. Cook pasta: Cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente; drain and set aside.
  3. Prepare sauce: In a large skillet, sauté garlic in olive oil, add butter, then whisk in flour. Slowly add milk and cream, stirring until thickened. Stir in Parmesan, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
  4. Combine: Add cooked chicken and pasta to the sauce, then transfer to a baking dish.
  5. Add toppings: Top with mozzarella cheese.
  6. Bake: Bake for 20–25 minutes until bubbly and golden.
