Pasta:

  • 12 oz penne or rigatoni pasta

Alfredo Sauce:

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Chicken Mixture:

  • 1 1/2 cups cooked shredded or diced chicken
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tablespoons chopped parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven and prepare dish: Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Cook pasta: Cook pasta according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  3. Make Alfredo sauce: Melt butter in a skillet, add garlic, whisk in flour, and gradually add milk and cream. Stir in Parmesan, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Add cooked chicken to the sauce.
  4. Combine and bake: Mix pasta with the sauce, transfer to baking dish, top with mozzarella, and bake for 20–25 minutes. Broil for a golden top.
  5. Serve: Let the dish rest for 5 minutes, garnish with parsley, and serve warm.
