For the Dip:

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 pound raw shrimp, peeled, deveined, and chopped
  • 1/2 pound lump crab meat (drained and picked over)
  • 2 cups fresh spinach, chopped (or 1 cup frozen, thawed and drained)
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons chopped green onions or parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven: Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a small baking dish or cast iron skillet.
  2. Cook shrimp and spinach: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add chopped shrimp and cook for 2–3 minutes until pink and opaque. Stir in spinach and cook until wilted. Remove from heat.
  3. Prepare cheese mixture: In a large mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, sour cream, and mayonnaise until smooth. Stir in garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  4. Combine ingredients: Fold in cooked shrimp and spinach, crab meat, mozzarella, and Parmesan cheese. Mix gently to combine.
  5. Bake: Transfer mixture to the prepared baking dish and bake for 20–25 minutes until hot and bubbly. Broil for 1–2 minutes for a golden top, if desired.
  6. Serve: Garnish with green onions or parsley and serve warm with crackers, crostini, or sliced baguette.

Notes

  • This dip can be prepped ahead and baked just before serving.
