  • 1 package (14 oz) hot dogs, sliced into rounds
  • 1 (10.5 oz) can condensed cheddar cheese soup
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon mustard (optional)
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese, divided
  • 1 (28 oz) bag frozen tater tots
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped parsley or green onions for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven: Preheat oven to 375°F and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Sauté onions and hot dogs: In a large skillet, heat olive oil and sauté chopped onion until soft. Add sliced hot dogs and cook until lightly browned.
  3. Prepare cheese mixture: In a mixing bowl, whisk together cheddar cheese soup, sour cream, milk, garlic powder, and mustard. Stir in sautéed onions, hot dogs, and 1½ cups of cheddar cheese. Season with salt and pepper.
